The spirit of giving back was in full force this year at Kenworth of Pennsylvania. Stores from all across the state participated in charitable efforts to help others this holiday season, including toy drives, food pantry donations, and the Wreaths Across America program, to name a few. Our dedicated teams have worked diligently to organize and execute these efforts, ensuring that the spirit of giving shines brightly this holiday season keeping the Kenworth of Pennsylvania commitment to our communities to heart.
Here’s a glimpse at some of the stores’ initiatives:
• New Stanton Assembly of God:
The team in New Stanton was proud to partner with the New Stanton Assembly of God to help with its Angel Tree project and food pantry needs. This year, the store helped more than 35 kids/families with their Christmas wish lists!
• Toys for Tots:
The team in Dunmore was excited to participate in the Toys for Tots program throughout the holiday season! This wonderful initiative, run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve, brings joy to children in need by providing them with gifts during the holiday season. By participating in Toys for Tots, the team in Dunmore was proud to be part of a tradition that spreads love, kindness, and joy.
• Sinner’s Sanctuary Church:
The Clintonville team was thrilled to participate in the Sinner’s Sanctuary Church’s Annual Toy Drive this holiday season! With the generosity of our team, we have collected so many new toys for children of all ages, helping to make the holidays brighter for families in our community.
• Wreaths Across America:
The Clintonville store was also excited to be a part of Wreaths Across America. This is the second year driver, Chuck Andrews and his beautiful Kenworth W900 ICON, has visited Clintonville to deliver wreaths for a local cemetery honoring all those who have served. We were proud to take part, as members of our local community were also present to help unload and support National Wreaths across America day!
• Northern Berks Food Pantry:
The team in Shartlesville collected food items for the Northern Berks Food Pantry. Items such as cereals, oatmeal, canned goods, and pantry staples like rice and pastas were collected at the dealership and donated to the food pantry. This holiday’s donations helped serve more than 155 families in our community!
• Lebanon County Foster Parent Association:
Employees from Carlisle and York got into the spirit of giving by donating and collecting new, unwrapped toys for the Lebanon County Foster Parent Association. Toys and gifts for children of all ages, from infant to 17 years old, were collected. Donations of toys, backpacks, arts and crafts kits, games, and so many other amazing gifts assisted in making the Lebanon County Foster Parent Association’s Christmas party a huge success in bringing these children joy, laughter, fun, and starting the Christmas spirit for these children.
We are proud to have participated and contributed to so many wonderful organizations to help give back to those in need this holiday season. We believe that by working together, we can make a significant impact on our communities. Thank you to everyone involved for your support in making this holiday season a time of giving and hope!
