Motor Truck Equipment Company has proudly catered to Pennsylvania’s trucking needs since 1933. Over the years, Motor Truck has evolved into a comprehensive truck solutions provider, encompassing Kenworth of Pennsylvania, Motor Truck PacLease, Motor Truck Thermo King, and TRP Allentown.
The company got its start with the Kenworth Truck Company in 1968, when it was honored to become an official Kenworth franchise, now recognized as Kenworth of Pennsylvania. A commitment to excellence fueled expansion over the years, opening new branches throughout the state led the organization to establish Motor Truck PacLease, offering leasing and rental solutions. Today, Motor Truck Equipment Company has expanded to include 10 locations spanning the state and more than 350 employees under the leadership of three generations of the Mitchell family. It remains dedicated to innovation while upholding our tradition of superior customer service. Our team is comprised of highly skilled experts deeply committed to providing exceptional support and service. Kenworth of Pennsylvania Celebrates 55 Years as a Kenworth Truck Dealer

A new home office was built in Carlisle, PA. This move combined the Kenworth and Fruehauf franchises, which had operated in separate facilities previously.
2004-2014
Over the next decade, Motor Truck expanded with new locations in Clintonville, Shartlesville, York, and Lancaster. During this period, Motor Truck also became a PacLease franchise.
